The Competition Marque Event this year was held in conjunction with The Great Race 2003 - which made it's stop in Germantown on June 29th. We gathered at our semi-usual place at the parking lot in front of the Butcher Shop on Germantown Parkway a little before noon. Just after 12:00 our mini-caravan made it's way to the Exeter Municipal Center, where the participants in the Great Race 2003 would arrive later in the day.

Our group had the opportunity to put on an informal display of our British cars (along with several other local car clubs). Each participant was given a commemorative "Great Race 2003 - SHINE TIME"  dash plaque and window sign. The actual Great Race festivities began at 5:00, with the first competitor rolling in a little after 6:00 - having been delayed by road construction in Arkansas..
