August 21, 2004 - Cookout at the Rollin' J Ranch

Once again Jim and Judy Ostner were our gracious hosts at their Rollin' J Ranch near Sardis, MS. The weather cooperated beautifully, as we managed to skirt a couple of showers on the drive down - and everyone enjoyed what seemed more like a Spring afternoon instead of a typical Memphis summer day. Somehow, our caravan managed to arrive intact. Of course, several British cars led the way.

Thanks again to Jim and Judy for allowing us the opportunity to enjoy their lovely estate - not to mention the abundance of delicious food!

This is typical of the roads along the route - which avoided I-55 altogether...

The Jaguar flag greeted us at the entrance to the courtyard...

Passing through the entrance, you find ample parking for 11 or 12 cars ...

MGs were welcome at the Rolling J along with the Jags...

Even a couple of  Japanese marques were allowed in!...

This is only a portion of the 20 or so members on hand to enjoy the Ostner's hospitality...

This is a view of the side porch of the main house. More photos are on the page for last year's event here...
