December 14, 2013 - Christmas Party
We owe a big "Thank You!" to Dave White for once again hosting our annual Christmas Party at his home.

October 26, 2013 - Wilson, Arkansas
On a great day for a short road trip, our club was invited to drive over to Wilson, Arkansas, for an impromptu car show at the local town square - followed by a visit to a couple of historic homes in the area. We were treated like royalty during our visit...treated to donuts and coffee upon our arrival, and a wonderful brunch at the first of the historic homes we visited - which is now a luxurious corporate center.

September 28, 2013 - Memphis Euro Auto Fest
Thanks to all of you, this year's Euro-Fest was a rousing success, resulting in record achievements: ninety-seven cars registered; participants raising just under $3,100.00; our sponsors donating $7,000.00; The Clarence Day Foundation matching those figures; and voila! - a total tidy sum of $20,000.00 for Youth Villages!

The entire team working at every level of planning, securing vendors, wooing sponsors, site layout, award plaques, clean-up, etc. made this year's "Fest" one in which everyone participating can be extremely proud and grateful. So, on behalf of our officers and Euro-Fest 2013 Team, THANK YOU club members! Youth Villages is performing such a wonderful job in assisting all the "at risk" children under their care and tutelage. I know our entire Memphis British Car Club feels a sense of pride and accomplishment in assisting such a marvelous entity.

We most appreciatively extend our gratitude to Rich Rankin, president of the Mercedes club and its members as well as Jay Carlson, president of the Porsche club and its membership...

July 27, 2013 - Chatterbox Drive
Here are just a few photos from the Saturday afternoon Chatterbox event...

June 1, 2013 - Crown Winery, Humboldt TN
We had 15 cars share a very pleasant day for a drive in a top-down car, but some didn't bring a top-down car.  There was but one MGB, two Triumphs (a TR7 and a TR6), four Jaguars (one E-Type, one S-Type, and two XK-8s), two Austin-Healeys (one 3000, and one Sprite), one Jensen-Healey, one Australian car (Pontiac GTO), three German cars (one BMW M3, two Porsches), one Swedish car (Volvo), and two Japanese cars (Nissan and Mazda).

We followed US Highway 70 from Lakeland to Humboldt, taking a fairly leisurely pace.  Two cars joined us enroute - the Dawsons put their TR6 in line as we went past Bozo's in Mason, while Buzz and Sherri joined us in the Sprite as our parade of cars drove through Stanton.  The leisurely pace helped the parade stay intact for the 1 1/2 hour, 82-mile drive and we arrived in very good order.  After visiting the tasting room, and acquiring a few bottles of our wine of choice, we were led to the back side of the winery where a mowed field and stage awaited.  Soft ground from the early morning rain didn't prove to be a barrier, and we quickly found hillside parking for the diverse array of cars.

Vintner Peter Howard had a surprise in the parking area - a hidden marker.  The driver who parked closest to the marker won a case of wine!  Dave White's E-Type parked directly over the mark, so he loaded the prize case aboard for his return to Memphis.

A taste of England was available to satisfy our sharpened appetites - Bangers & Mash with the traditional beans as a side dish. Followed by a wonderful taste of strawberry cake made from Humboldt's signature berries.  The food was tasty, the wine refreshing, and all accompanied by a large medley of music from Scott Myatt - quite an accomplished singer/musician.

In summary, the Crown Winery drive and tour was delightful.  Those who were unable to join us should be encouraged to make the journey another time; it is worth the drive!

April 20, 2013 - Rollin' J Ranch
Thanks to Jim & Judy Ostner, BSCC members were treated to an event that is always one of the best of the year - a cruise down to their Rollin' J Ranch for a springtime cookout, a chance to enjoy a nice drive on a beautiful day, the opportunity to see the Oster car collection up close...and a great atmosphere in which to spend some quality time with friends.

March 24, 2013 - National Ornamental Metal Museum

Some 20 or more BSCC stalwart members gathered at the National Ornamental Metal Museum on the south bluffs of the mighty Mississippi River to explore the art of metal sculpting, blacksmithing and forging – all explained by the artists and craftsmen on site. Equally interesting were the revamped library housed in one of the late 19th century buildings and the exquisite metal art objects there. A few brave souls, like Jim Duke, wandered over to the edge of the bluffs in gale force winds to witness the angry river far below. This rare place is a hidden treasure of which our city can well be proud.

Following the museum tour, we “caravanned” (in the loosest sense of that word) to a cozy downtown pub, The Blue Monkey on South Front Street, where we enjoyed some great food and fermented beverages. Their signature dish, a delicious crawfish bisque, was augmented by Dee Billmeier’s personal flask of port which was passed around to the group.
